The past few days we have been preparing to go back into church facility (insert a big ohh yeah here). In addition to the normal preparations, we have been preparing our new student center. I am excited because today we purchased the sofa’s and ottomans that will make this center a great place for small groups. I have taken the liberty to name the new student center the PHAT CAVE. Don’t ask me why…it just sounds right.

This facility will be perfect for what we want to do…which is to connect in small groups using God’s word.

Next week we will begin painting…so if you are down with painting the Phat Cave leave a comment and I will contact you to see when you can help out!

I know what you are thinking…what does that picture have to do with this post…well believe it or not it is symbolic of my brain being tired and playing ‘face painting’ with my girls (what is a dad supposed to do?). Although I was painted up as a character from Super Mario Brawl I would have entertained a nice Darth Maul look.

The final day of camp focused on ‘The Way’ that a Christian should take. Of course there are a lot of other ways, however ‘The Way’ is the ONLY WAY.

Both students and adults were challenged to be lights where we are at right now…and to not wait until we ‘grow up’ to engage people with our faith.
